A Time for Growth and Reflection - Kari’s Grateful Challenge
Wow, so much has happened since I blogged last.
The world got sick and everything slowed down. My Art with Kari Art and Design workshops were put on pause, which forced me to adapt and think of creative ways of how to keep moving forward.
At first, I got angry and sad and anxious and eventually I had to accept things had changed and may never be the same again. Insert the most used P word of 2020! Pivot!
Art With Kari The Essential Art and Design Online Course was born. Created in my art studio in Sydney Australia. The inspiration: Everything I would want my art students to know before they step into my art studio for a lesson. The basic art theory and principles of art and design delivered on a safe and secure platform for a one on one immersive fun and educational user experience.
The Essential Art and Design Online Course is a fun 10-week, 30 lesson, online course for children who love art between the ages of 6-12 years old, however it turns out anyone can enjoy it. It has been running for three months now and I have had children, siblings, family groups, mother and daughter pairs doing it together. I have a couple of adults currently enjoying it too!
Create New South Wales, Australian Government has approved my digital course and parents in NSW Australia may use their Creative Kids Voucher for their children to the value of $100.
In addition, Create NSW has given me a grant to create more online content! Yay! I have another couple of new courses in the pipeline as a result.
During this tricky year, time has slowed down. It has been the perfect time to look back, reflect on what is important to me. I have not reopened my in-person workshops again.
2020s shift has given me the gift of time: I have had time to really connect with my family again in a meaningful way.
Feeling thankful and have been forced to appreciate the small things such as going for walks and breathing in clean air.
Grateful for the opportunity to be very creative again, paint, design, dream, plan and really process, reflect on all the magical moments made with my special family and friends and truly appreciate them, smile and be grateful.
Kari’s Grateful Challenge:
Print out all your gorgeous photos and put them up somewhere where you can see them daily.
A constant visual reminder of the beautiful life you have created.
Hints: Keep your mood high by printing out photos of people, places, special occasions, and celebrations which are important to you.
